Ford recalling 2013 Escape, Fusion because of possible engine fires Move covers about 89,000 models with 1.6-liter engines David Phillips Ford is recalling the 2013 Ford Escape crossover and 2013 Ford Fusion sedan equipped with 1.6-liter engines that may overheat and cause fires. Ford estimates that there have been approximately 73,320 Escape and 15,833 Fusion models for 2013 distributed for sale in the United States and Canada with 1.6-liter engines.  story    The all-new Escape, a top seller for Ford in the compact SUV segment, has now been recalled four times.
