90 Years of Good Luck


  • Ugo Sivocci first wore the Alfa Quadrifoglio Verde on a racer in the 1923 Targa Florio, meant as a lucky charm after he'd suffered a series of second places and mechanical failures.
  • He immediately went on to win his first victory at Florio.
  • He was later killed at Monza testing a car without the cloverleaf.
  • All Alfa race cars bear the white triangle with the four-leaf clover since.
