Excluding the Ford Police Interceptor Utility, the Jeep Grand Cherokee outsold the Ford Explorer by 2277 units in July 2013.
U.S. sales of GM's Lambda platform trio - Enclave, Traverse, Acadia - totalled 20,143, a figure bested by the Grand Cherokee and its stablemate, the Dodge Durango, though only by eleven sales. Honda, Nissan, and Toyota combined for 32,268 sales of their midsize crossovers: Pilot, Pathfinder, Highlander. Nissan also sold 3787 Muranos last month. A year ago, the Pathfinder was America's 40th-best-selling utility vehicle. Through seven months of 2013, the Pathfinder ranks 16th in U.S. SUV/CUV sales. Year-to-date, the Pathfinder, Durango, Explorer, and Mazda CX-9 have reported the most significant year-over-year improvements of the crossovers and SUVs shown below.
