SEPTEMBER U.S. AUTO SALES Toyota, VW soar again; Chrysler leads Detroit 3 Ford sales flat; Deliveries edge up 1.5% at GM David Phillips Toyota Motor Corp. and Volkswagen AG's VW brand continued to post robust U.S. sales increases while deliveries at GM and Ford were mostly flat in September, a month that is expected to generate more steady gains for the industry. Chrysler and Hyundai also posted healthy double-digit increases last month.
