Auto electronic faults may be ‘untraceable,' U.S. panel says

WASHINGTON (Bloomberg) -- U.S. regulators were justified in closing a probe into unintended acceleration of Toyota Motor Corp. vehicles without finding electronic causes, a National Academy of Sciences panel said while emphasizing it wasn't ruling out such failures in the future.

Toyota adds shifts at Texas plant to boost truck inventory

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) -- Toyota Motor Corp. will add Saturday shifts at its pickup truck factory in San Antonio over the next three months to boost dealer inventories still-depleted after last year's earthquake in Japan.
